National Educators’ Network (NEN) is an innovative educators’ forum of like-minded and techno- savvy teachers. This community of teachers has redefined the role of a teacher from an information giver to that of a facilitator, a co-learner and a co-investigator with the students. The aim of these clubs is to carry forward the essence of Intel® Teach Program and facilitate technology supported project based learning in school curriculum. It is functioning effectively in 22 cities of India.

Role of the National Educators’ Network (NEN):

  • The Network plays a pivotal role in building strong partnerships with teachers, students, schools and education departments.

  • The Network has been successful in bridging the gap between principals and teachers.

  • The Network supports and motivates Master Trainers’ to take the cause of Technology Supported Project Based Learning forward, keeping in mind the infrastructure and social background of the institutions as well as judicious and ethical use of technology.

  • The Network is used as a productive platform to interact, share ideas and opinions and sort out issues related to enhancement of student learning.

  • The greatest strength of the Network lies in its reach and ability to bind schools and teachers from all over the country, who believe that they can make a difference.

Functioning of the Network:
The Network in each city functions efficiently with unanimously selected or elected office bearers. The office bearers meet regularly to chalk out events, seminars and workshops. The Network in each city is supported by the team of Intel Teach Program.

NEN is keen to bridge the gap between private and government schools by initiating collaborative projects, contests and orientation programs among students and teachers of government and private schools. The Network endeavors to build a pool of resources and leverage the teacher talent across the country by working through a consortium of schools to improve curriculum and instruction.
