Pre-Service Program

The Pre-Service program provides hands on training to the Pre-Service faculty in Technology Aided Learning (TAL). The focus of the program is on the integration of pedagogy with technology. A total of 2, 82,313 Pre-Service teachers have been trained under the program, so far.

The program has partnerships with the various Universities and Intel® Teach Pre Service Program curriculum has been integrated in the
B. Ed. curriculum of about 28 universities as a compulsory/optional paper.

Intel® Teach Pre Service Program is working with the following SCERTs (State Council of Educational Research and Training), which are State level Institutions of Teacher Education:

  • Karnataka DSERT, Bangalore,Karnataka
  • Gujarat SCERT, Gandhinagar,Gujarat
  • Maharashtra SCERT,Pune, Maharashtra
  • Tamil Nadu DTERT, Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Intel® has been working in close collaboration with UGC. Refresher courses were conducted at GNDU, Amritsar and JNU, New Delhi to orient the University Professors, Readers and Lecturers on Effective Use of Technology in Education.

The Pre Service Program is collaborating with the NCTE to launch the ICT TEC Program that aims at training Teacher Educators and Student Teachers in 6000 institutions across the country. Seminars are also held jointly by both NCTE and Intel® Teach Pre Service Program. The Intel Preservice curriculum has been released as a text book by some Universities. A committee like The Research Task Force has been formed. It conducts research and publication on ICTE.
