“Even the Computer teacher in my school refers to me whenever he has any clarifications regarding computer skills “ , says Mr.Narendra Singh a State Award winning teacher, Delhi. Forty-six teachers from various schools had been honored by Delhi Government on September 5, 2007 in Delhi. Mr.Narendra Singh M. Sc, M.A, M.Ed from Sarvodhaya Co-education Vidyalaya, Najafgarh ,Delhi is one among them to receive the “Delhi State Teacher Award “ from the benevolent hands of Mr.Arvind Singh Lovely, Minister of Education and Ms. Rina Ray, Secretary, Education, Delhi.

Mr. Singh is one of the committed teachers, unleashing the potential of children and kindle the fire in them by teaching the concepts of Science for the past fifteen years. Some of the areas where a teacher needs to qualify to win this award are students’ performance, Professional growth of a teacher, role in community services, Co-curricular activities, and Computer Literacy. Mr. Singh proudly says that Intel India Technology Pvt Ltd played a vital role to enhance the necessary technology skills, which enabled him to reach this place. He recalls, “Intel is a valuable Program as it teaches the entire Ms.Office during the training.”

Mr. Singh has been an in charge of his school Eco club, NTSC club and Science Fair for the Zonal level. One of his school projects,” Bio diversity “was selected in National Level Children Congress and received an award from our Ex President Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam. He is passionate about his profession as it helps him to be in constant touch with the children who belong to future generation. He feels privileged as this career helps him to mould the children as the society demands. Mr. Singh also quench the thirst of inquisitive minds of children by presenting a program called ,” Eureka” in Doordharshan -1 for the past one and a half year which focuses on Experimental Learning.

Talking about his award Mr. Singh says, “All my hardwork and efforts put in so far is well rewarded. I am happy to receive this award. “
